If you are about to renovate in Westport, or simply want to know who does the work, the regional design magazines have been keeping a record. The Westport projects below were published since 2021, listed newest first, with the teams credited in each story. The links go to the original features.
A spec house made bespoke
The interior designer Amy Courtney worked with Judith Larson Associates and the builder Redcoat Homes on a Westport spec house, published by Connecticut Cottages & Gardens in March 2026.
A Colonial Revival on the Sound, remade modern
A roughly 7,000-square-foot Colonial Revival house built in 2004 on Long Island Sound was reworked by Halper Architects, led by Jon Halper with Eliza Rubin, with interiors by Ali Budd Interiors and construction by Oliver Wilson Construction. New England Home published it in July 2025.
A designer’s former house, reimagined
Kristin Fine of 1818 Collective returned to a house from the 1800s near the Sound, her own former residence, to redesign it for its new owners. Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, January 2025.
A 1927 Dutch Colonial
The Von Castelberg Cottage, a 1927 Dutch Colonial, was renovated by Holly Jaffe of Wowhaus with the architect Jon Halper and the builder Alan Dreher. Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, April 2023.
Three gables joined by glass
A house of three gabled forms linked by glass, designed by the architect Chris Pagliaro with interiors by Lisa Oakes of Oaklee and construction by Fletcher Development, won a 2022 HOBI award. Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, February 2023.
A Cotswold-style gut renovation
Austin Patterson Disston Architects, with Stuart Disston leading, and the interior designer Nina Farmer transformed a late-1920s Cotswold-style house of about 10,700 square feet. Tallman Building Co. was the builder. New England Home, October 2022.
A Christopher Peacock kitchen
Nancy Galasso Interiors and Bluewater Home Builders worked on a house whose centerpiece is a Christopher Peacock kitchen. New England Home, July 2022.
An 1892 farmhouse
Pagliaro also renovated an 1892 farmhouse at 70 Turkey Hill Road South, which won a preservation award, as 06880 reported in April 2021.
Reading the list
Two patterns stand out. Half the projects on this list involve older houses, from an 1892 farmhouse to a 1920s Cotswold, rather than new construction. And a small group of architects recurs. Jon Halper and Chris Pagliaro each appear twice. For a buyer, the practical use of a list like this is a shortlist. Read the features, look at the work, and ask the firms how they handle Westport’s approvals, which our guide to rebuilding describes.
